Our lovely Military

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18659901/

I'm not a big fan of either YouTube or MySpace, but come on. Let these soldiers that are overseas have some fun and contact with the real world - even if it is watching some dude get hit in the balls with a baseball bat or chatting with a 17 year old girl back home.

10 Weird Things

I was tagged by my friend Morgana to list 10 odd things about myself:

1.) I have to look at a light to sneeze - this is hell in the middle of the night.

2.) I'm 21 years old and I'm completely debtfree and I refuse to finance anything else in my life aside from a house.

3.) I had professional pictures taken of my dog. (What? I won them, I wouldn't pay for them, hehe)\

4.) I didn't learn to ride a bike until I was 11 years old

5.) I am known as the "ANL Machine" at work (ANL is my initials if no one has figured that out.) because I'm so efficient at the tasks given to me.

6.) I put taco sauce in my salads

7.) My eyes look brown from far away, but they're really mostly green.

8.) I get excited by new household cleaning tools.

9.) I like having my hands played with. Hands are very intimate to me.

10.) Last time I gave blood to the Red Cross I passed out in a bathroom.

Well, I'm supposed to tag 10 other people, but I'm going to say no to that. I don't know that many people, hehe.

So It's been a few months ...

I haven't been keeping up with nearly as much stuff as I used to on the internet. There were messageboards that went without my wittiness and my unsurpassed knowledge and my arrogance (apparently!) My blog (And waffles's) has suffered. My own website has cobbwebs draped over my hotbuttons.

But alas, my dear children, all is well in the world of Loebick. I'm still working as a Game Advisor (I get a raise soon, yippie) and I'm continiously working on my novel - Flames of Winter. I've actually had the first draft finished for a long time, but I've just recently picked it back up and started the 2nd revision. My poetry has been limited to the few lines that I've written for my novel, very simple stuff that don't have too much thought to them. Recently Rewritten:

T'was the night of Winter's Eve
And the Maiden of Faerie wept.
The love of her life had gone away
and to her a promise kept.
I will be back on spring's first day
and true love we shall achieve.
My love to no longer grieve.

Like I said, it's not much.

I'm still living on Fort Campbell, though in much nicer quarters. I live in a recently remodeled brick duplex instead of a condemned pastel townhouse. The entire family enjoys it more. We're still waiting for Greg's medical chapter. This hurry up and wait shit that the military is so fond of gets tiring quickly. Hopefully, We'll be outta here by summer. Wish us luck.

Teddy Grahams

Proof that there is a god somewhere out there and he/she/it loves me. I love the honey flavored teddy grahams and I really have no idea what the appeal is. I tried a more dignified and grown-up alternative, Honey Graham crackers, and they just don't cut it.

White Sparkling snow
Covering a single oak,
Alone in a field.

It's been a while

There hasn't been much going on that would really be considered interesting enough for me to blog about. However, Halloween was a couple days ago and I figured I'd share my costume. Don't ask me what I'm specifically supposed to be - I was leaning towards Chinese Assassin, and I wound up looking like Chinese Whore.

ZOO!

I love zoos. Greg and I went to the Nashville Zoo yesterday. And even though there's not a lot of animals there compared to like the Atlanta zoo, it's fun just the same. The weather was perfect and it almost felt like home again because we were waling through the woods where most of the animal exhibits are. Greg wound up taking over 100 pictures! The following is just a small sampling.

Happiness -n- stuff

My husband is finally home and safe. I couldn't be happier about it. The past few days have been GREAT! Saturday was his birthday and we went out to the Japanese Steak house. It was really nice. I've missed him so much. I just want to give him the world.
